A PUB FOR EVERY OCCASION
Relaxed spaces, inside and out
Inside, you’ll find comfortable spaces to settle in for lunch, dinner or a few drinks, along with the pub piano, and customers are always welcome to sit down and play.
Outside, the garden offers plenty of room to relax in the warmer months, with a generous family-friendly space and children’s play equipment.
More than just a place to eat
The Botany Bay has become known for its pop-up events and seasonal get-togethers, from summer BBQs to family events such as The Great British Garden Party.
Surrounded by the Dorset countryside and close to popular walking routes, it’s also an ideal place to stop after a day out, meet friends for a drink or enjoy a long, leisurely meal with family.
Whether you’re visiting for a Sunday roast, a spontaneous pint, a family afternoon in the garden or one of our special events, you can expect good food, great hospitality and a warm welcome.
OUR STORY
Built on friendship and good food
Food and hard work were part of life from an early age. Charlie followed his passion into the kitchen, training and working as a chef and developing a love for bold flavours and quality ingredients. Jake took a different route through hospitality before becoming an electrician, bringing a practical, hands-on approach to the business.
At the heart of The Botany Bay kitchen is Head Chef Louis White, whose creativity and attention to detail help shape the flavour-led menu. Working closely with local suppliers, Louis puts fresh, high-quality ingredients at the centre of every dish.
After taking different paths, Charlie and Jake eventually returned to a shared ambition: to create something of their own. Gordano Inns grew from that idea, built on friendship, local roots and a genuine love of good food done properly.
